601, the all-day diner at the Park celebrates the magic of French cuisine.

601 at the Park Chennai joined 2000 other handpicked restaurants around the world in a unique celebration of French cuisine. Goût de France/Good France is organised by Alain Ducasse (one of the world’s best known chefs) and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International development. Dinners served simultaneously in participating restaurants showcase the merits of French cuisine and its capacity of innovation.

The seven-course wine-paired menu at the 601 began with an exquisite chicken liver pate stuffed eclair. One of our favourite courses was the trio of salmon trio of salmon in three unique interpretations – tartare, carpaccio and parfait. The showstopper for the evening was the herb crusted lamb rack served with wild mushrooms and paired with a fine Bordeaux red wine. The 601 team saved the best for last – a terrific chocolate terrine crafted with Valrhona chocolate served with a Martell VS Cognac.

You might have to wait another year to sample some of these delicacies at the 601 but there’s the restaurant’s all-new menu (unveiled in December) that you can check out meanwhile.
